I need to replace the oil in my 5-speed maual transmission, and I've read countless opinions about what fluid to use.  It's almost worse than engine oil.

Anyway, I've seen "use GL-4 since GL-5 doesn't work well with brass gears", and the like.  I've also read that dealers carry the GL-52 stuff for PDs and not the recommended oil for my car.  Many people use the Redline MTL but report "notchyness" in cold weather.  It's too much information, so can anyone fill me in on what they use?
